His face got wet from the water bottle in the car.  :)

Goldie's 1st Birthday!

Yesterday Goldie (my brother's palomino Morgan) turned 1.  Of course we made a scrumptious oat, apple, molasses, and carrot cake.   Feeling jealous yet?  That is not quite what my taste buds like but it is a big hit with the horses....and with the dogs (our dogs haven't quite realized that they aren't horses yet.  They eat hay, 'road apples, and horse treats!).   Here are some wonderful birthday pictures.
All the girls waiting for 'cake'.

Cleaning up the 'scraps' of cake that fell.

"That was good!"  Misty licking her lips.

Sophie with Goldie.

Jewel is a doll when my grandpa comes out to see her....but she is a whole different creature when he leaves.

"Yum, Cake"

"Are you watching me?"

"Got to lick it clean"

Unfortunate Events and Blessings

When raising animals you often deal with a lot of hardships.  But without the hardships then the blessings would seem so minor compared to the everyday 'regulars'.  I thank God for the wonderful things He has taught me with all of the different experiences I have had to deal with.  Each one is another learning curve, although it may be hard.  I also thank God for the wonderful blessings I get all the time without even realizing it.  Without blessings and without hard ships what would life be like?  No happy exciting moments, no sad or dull moments, nothing.  I often have to remind myself that the bad/death does not come from God but rather Satan, God is not to blame even though He lets it happen.  If He didn't would we get anywhere with our lives?  Would we need God?
I lost Peaches last night.  She was my little Beige female that was born yesterday.  I think she could have possibly been an extreme Pink White.  There was nothing I could've done or anything I wish I would've done differently.  I was trying to hand feed her but last night before she died we noticed that she had blood in her mouth and blood in her urine, she had internal damage.   It is hard to lose two babies in a day....but there was nothing I could've done to control it.
Blessings............

Exciting!!!!!

This morning Princess (3 days past her due date) gave birth to triplets!!!!  Unfortunately the little Standard male didn't make it.  I found him deceased so I am not sure of the cause.  Princess also had a very healthy and spunky little beige male (45 grams) and beige female (48 grams).  The little beige female is not doing as well as I would have liked so we will see how she does.
Here are the pictures!

Celebration and Little Peeps

Today was Jewel's 6th Birthday (only a day after Misty's).  I have some pictures from the 'party'.  I think Jewel had a good birthday but she was pretty adamit that she was not planning on sharing her cake.  Here are some pictures.
No she is not turning two....I could only find to candles.  Poor Jewel.

"Can I eat it faster?"

"No Goldie, don't even look at my cake because I am not sharing."

"Have to get everything"

"Thank God for cakes!!!!  That was incredible!!!"

Here are our 'little peeps' that we picked up yesterday.  They are adorable.  We got 11 total.  Two for Tate, Sophie, Gabe, and I.  One for Michael, my mom, and my dad.

Squished?

"Chow time!"

My little Partridge Cochin.  I haven't named her yet.  I am thinking Frizzle might be a good name?

My black Sex Linx.  Agnes if it is a hen or Angus if it is a rooster.

Polly, My mom's Americuna

Gigantor, Tate's Delaware.

I don't know what her name is.  This is Gabe's chicken.  She is a Speckled Sussex.

One of four of our Buff Orpington's

Sophie's Penny.  She is a Americuna also.

Happy Birthday Misty!!!!!!

Today (April 15th) is Misty's first birthday!!!!!  She didn't really care much....but that is all right.  We had a great Birthday party with Jewel, Goldie, Champ, Misty (of course), Tate and I.   Here are some pictures of her cake and the 'party'.
I made Misty's cake. I think I did a good job if I may say so myself.  Looks Scrumptious.

The lonely one candle.

Chowing on the Birthday cake.

"I can't quite get enough!"

Looking beautiful on her birthday!

Misty!  How embarrassing!

Waiting impatiently for the cake.

"That is good!"

Finally it is Champ's turn to get some cake, and he is loving it!

"That was amazing!"

New Dog House!

We finished Ella's dog house and 'area' today for her.  I think the dog house looks great, and it was built from scraps and extra material.  Louis is jealous so we have got one going for him too.  I will get pictures of his dog house when we get it up but here is Ella's.
Looking Good!

Ella says "I am outa here!!!"

Cozy.  The walls are insulated.

"Again?  Why do you keep putting me in here for pictures?"
